Drop-off and pickup bring a lot of cars, bikes, scooters, and people through the streets around Meadowlark in a short amount of time. Drive & Ride Like a Meadowlark is a PAC-led effort encouraging slower speeds, attentive driving, safer crossings, and good biking and riding habits around the school.
The campaign grew from repeated parent concerns about speeding, crosswalks, distracted driving, and near misses around Meadowlark. PAC meetings often include discussions with our School Resource Officer about school-zone enforcement and pedestrian and bike safety.
