Some expenses are large programs that reach the whole school. Others begin with a teacher, staff member, or parent identifying a specific need and asking the PAC for help.
In the 2026-2027 school year, we are partnering closely with teachers and staff to identify funding priorities for larger investments that might require multi-year campaigns. These could include projects such as additional outdoor play structures or finding creative solutions to expand arts and music education.
At the end of the school year, the PAC reported $70,112.88 raised. The 2025 Fun Run raised $52,318.56 before expenses, which supports the core of our annual budget. The 2026 Spring Carnival brought in $9,777, with participating teachers receiving funds for their classroom budgets and additional proceeds staying with the PAC for future school needs.
Recent PAC support has included:
Imagine Learning subscriptions for Meadowlark multilingual learners
Readwell materials for kindergarten reading groups
An interactive smart board for the Life Skills classroom
Weighted lap supports available across classrooms
Individual teacher and classroom funding
Classroom curriculum and instructional materials
PAC funding helps bring experiences into the school. Recent examples include Bozeman Children’s Theatre and Artists in Residence. In 2025, more than 100 students participated in 101 Dalmatians, and every Meadowlark student attended a live theatre performance.
The PAC also helped cover Artists in Residence programming, including 406 Cirque and pottery with Arts on Fire.
PAC funding sometimes addresses practical needs that come up during the year. In 2025–26, the PAC increased its student snack budget and covered additional snack expenses after the front office saw higher-than-expected need.
The PAC also approved $1,000 to help cover second lunch servings for students receiving free or reduced lunch when account balances made those additional servings difficult.
PAC support has included fifth-grade field trip transportation, Field Day equipment, and other activities that carry costs beyond regular classroom budgets.
In addition to funds set aside for each classroom, the PAC supports teacher and staff appreciation efforts throughout the year, from wellness and training to essential supplies.
PAC funds also support larger improvements, such as the most recent playground addition on the west side of the school yard in 2024.
